Creation of the new for the Tomsk oblast mining branch of industry is oriented in the first place on the Tomsk mining school, on the local scientific-technical developments and production basis. There for the first over Ural Tomsk State University and Tomsk Polytechnic University together with two scientific-practical centre of introduction of new technologies is founders of the Tomsk Mining Company.

All leaders and chief specialists of the company have the necessary professional preparation and experience of solving of the production problems on the basis of introduction of scientific achievements and new technologies. There are authors of the more than 100 inventions and 200 scientific publications in the field of search and prospects, development and complex exploitation of mineral deposits, enrichment and processing og the mineral raw materials.

Connections with specialised organisations: Siberian Scientific - Research Institute of Geology, Geophysics and Mineral Raw Materials (SSRIGG&MRM) and its branch establishment the Tomsk Branch, Institute of Mining (IM of the SB of the RAS), the Tomsk Geological Prospect Expedition (TGPE), FSUE "SRI of the semiconductor devices", SRI of Oceantechnics of FESTU, Siberian Scientific - Research and Desing Institute of cement industry, Join - Stock Company "SIBGIPROSHAHT", the Tomsk State Architecture - Building University (TSABU), the Tomsk CSTI and plants in Tomsk ("Polus", Temp, Device one), Novosibirsk ("NOK", NPRM, the Affinage one), the Kemerovo oblast (KGME, WSGME, the Topki cement plant) are strengthened.

In 2001 coworkers of the company gave the defending documents of the Rospatent on 10 inventions and 2 useful models. 8 applications on delivery of the RF Patents are accepted for consideration by the Federal Institute of Industrial Property.
